CONSTRUCTION PHASE POWER GENERATION

It is common practice for developers to invest capital in power generation plants during the construction phase of a project. At the end of the project, this equipment is often of little value and may even create back end costs complications when assets are liquidated. Aggreko provides the solution by supplying the power needs only for the duration of construction of the project.

We offer turnkey solutions that cover personnel, spares and consumables. Aggreko manage the total power needs of the project resulting in the provision of consistent, reliable power, when and where it is needed.

POWER FOR EARLY PRODUCTION

There is enormous commercial pressure to produce oil as early as possible to maximize cash flow for projects. To facilitate this, the conversion of existing vessels, and refurbishment of production facilities is a practice which is on the increase.
Temporary power systems provided by Aggreko are well suited to power these applications, both during the fabrication and refurbishment phases as well as providing power for the facility when it is fully operational.

FACILITY POWER FOR COMMISSIONING AND FIRST PRODUCTION STAGES

Aggreko can install temporary power systems in very short timescales allowing their clients to fast track projects without making upfront capital expenditure commitments. Also, the modular design of Aggreko temporary power systems allows for the upsize or downsize of power plants as the project progresses. This cuts out unnecessary expenditure as clients only pay for the power they need.

LOAD TESTING AND COMMISSIONING

With a comprehensive fleet of resistive and reactive loadbanks, Aggreko has significant knowledge and experience in successfully delivering major loadbank projects; this includes a large number of shipbuilding related contracts.

TEMPERATURE CONTROL SERVICES AND PROCESS COOLING

Specialised Aggreko engineers provide innovative process cooling solutions to interface our temperature control and HVAC equipment into your facility process system, resulting in increased production whilst maintaining facility performance during high ambient, high demand conditions.

EMERGENCY POWER GENERATION

Aggreko supplied a 3MW temporary power package, 250 kW load bank, and 2 compressors on board a pipelaying barge in the Black Sea, offshore Bulgaria. Package was used for winches, lights, and associated equipment in addition to the pipe tensioning system and laying equipment.

For three and a half years, Aggreko provided a 6.8MW temporary power package on board the Soroosh Early Oil Production Facility, ESP-1, offshore Iran. Power package supplied continuous power for the electrical submersible pumps and water injection units on board the facility for three and a half years (184 weeks).

Aggreko generators during installation on board Zeitco Platform ‘A’ offshore Egypt to provide facility power during turbine maintenance.

Aggreko provided a 15MW/11kV/50Hz loadbank and transformer package during commissioning of newly installed turbines on board the Central Azeri Production, Drilling and Quarters (PDQ) Platform, Baku, Azerbaijan.

Aggreko supplied a 3.75MW power and 3.35MW temperature control package for the Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco) during shutdown, turnaround and inspection of their Fluid Catalytic Cracking Unit (FCCU). The package was used to cool the FCCU, the catering facilities, the polyplant and the reactors during asbestos removal.
