In winter and summer 2001, DrillTec GUT GmbH successfully completed two crossings below the River Pur in west Siberia.
Two gas pipelines with diameters of 10" (1218m in length) and 40" (1245m in length) were installed using horizontal directional drilling (HDD) - an effective way to install pipelines below rivers in areas with extreme climatic conditions.
