Goetz Linzenmeier, a graduate in industrial design, born on 17.06.1960 in Munich, established an aluminium-yacht-yard called G.L. Yachting in the port of Hamburg in 1990. The company aimed at construction and sale of aluminium hulls for yachts and was successful from the beginning of company activity.
End of 1993 Mr Linzenmeier decided to move production to Gdansk, to area of former Conrad Shipyard. Up to 1997 together with subcontractors a total of 75 person were employed.
Strategic decision
In 1995 Mr Linzenmeier made strategic decision to extend activity of building small to medium aluminium yachts to specialized aluminium shipbuilding to generate significant growth. This deserved complete re-organization of company which does not comply with yacht-yard structures. Therefore Aluship brand has been created in 1997.
Present time
In Dec 1, 2000 we officially moved into our new 10.000 m2 production hall and 3.500 m2 of workshop, office and social space at former area of Gdansk Shipyard.
We also invested in two of the most modern robotic flat section panel lines of 12,5m length to weld aluminium and steel butts from one side only as well as double robotice welding gantry for aluminium and steel girders. This plant is unique in Europe.
Together with our present work force of 170 employees we are able to manufacture up to 200 tons monthly of aluminium-extrusion-welding-constructions.
We have also established our own engineering department with 27 workstations and sophisticated 3D software.
Since September 2006 Aluship Technology is owner of its facility on 3 hectar plot with access to water.
Today you will find during your visit in Aluship Technology mainly aluminium superstructures for offshore, megayachts, fast ferries, patrol boat hulls, catamaran-hulls and various outfitting elements like signal masts, funnels or railings as well as sophisticated steel constructions.
